Verbum Dei ("Word of God" in Latin) centres its specific mission in the
Word of God.
"We will dedicate ourselves full-time to prayer and the service of the Word." (Acts 6:4)
Our mission is expressed through . . . Prayer, Preaching and Testimony of Life

 Prayer

A truly apostolic-missionary life has its source in an abundantly contemplative life.
Our following of Christ and the building of Christian communities can only be born and sustained in this vital union with Christ. "Remain united to me. Whoever remains in me and I in him, will bear much fruit for you can do nothing without me." (John 15:4-5)

For this reason, we dedicate ourselves to:
- 3 hours of daily prayer rooted in the word of God,
- one-day retreat every month and
- one-month retreat in silence every year.

The missionary, in a life of intimate dialogue, will be transformed by the Word of God i
nto the donor and administrator of the Life of God for many people.
"We write to you about the Word of Life"
We have heard it and
we have seen it and
our hands have touched it.
What we have seen and heard,
we announce to you
also so that you too may share our life.
We write this in order that
our joy may be complete.
(1 John 1:1-4)

Preaching

Receiving the joy and the happiness of Christ, prayer impels us to a life of mission: announcing the Good News that we have heard from Christ himself.
In our desire to respond faithfully and promptly to the urgent command of Jesus, we aim to follow him as closely as possible in his specific mission so that all the world, regardless of social condition, race and gender, can be made his disciples who in turn, will make others Christ?s disciples.
"Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples."
(Matthew 28:19)
How can they believe if they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? (C.f. Romans 10:14)

Why do we want to evangelise by preaching the Gospel of Jesus
of Nazareth?
We are conscious that the Word of God is Christ himself (C.f. John 1:14).
So preaching the living Word of God puts people into contact with Christ. And only Jesus Christ and his Gospel has the power to transform the darkened environments, tired and often meaningless lives of many into overabundant life, happiness and hope.
Only an injection of faith, rooted in the word of God, can revive and revitalise the lives of all humanity permanently.
This can only happen when all peoples may come to know a personal Christ, follow him closely and proclaim, with their lives and words, the Good News of his Love to all.

Testimony of Life
Our first means of evangelisation will begin by presenting the existence of a personal God and Companion, who attracts, fulfills and moves our lives.
In a world where authentic witnesses more than teachers are needed, we seek to accompany our preaching with clear and transparent lives rooted in the Gospel values of poverty, love and freedom.
"The group of believers was one in mind and heart." (Acts 4:32)
Looking at the world where death, disunity, discrimination, lack of love and emptiness reigns, the love of Christ urges us to present the Kingdom of love, justice and peace.
This utopia becomes a reality when united by God's love, we build up Christian communities. Made up of peoples from all walks of life, to the transforming power of God's Love in our world and in our times. cultures, languages, social status, etc, we will be a strong and undeniable witness
