Preaching
Receiving the joy and the happiness of Christ, prayer impels us to a life of mission: announcing the Good News that we have heard from Christ himself.
In our desire to respond faithfully and promptly to the urgent command of Jesus, we aim to follow him as closely as possible in his specific mission so that all the world, regardless of social condition, race and gender, can be made his disciples who in turn, will make others Christ?s disciples.
"Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples."
(Matthew 28:19)
How can they believe if they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher? (C.f. Romans 10:14)
Why do we want to evangelise by preaching the Gospel of Jesus
of Nazareth?
We are conscious that the Word of God is Christ himself (C.f. John 1:14).
So preaching the living Word of God puts people into contact with Christ. And only Jesus Christ and his Gospel has the power to transform the darkened environments, tired and often meaningless lives of many into overabundant life, happiness and hope.
Only an injection of faith, rooted in the word of God, can revive and revitalise the lives of all humanity permanently.
This can only happen when all peoples may come to know a personal Christ, follow him closely and proclaim, with their lives and words, the Good News of his Love to all.
